The Course
Attractive parkland course situated 3 miles from the Championship Roxburghe course. Kelso is well known for the fine condition of its greens and fairways. The original course was designed by Ben Sayers then re-designed by James Braid in 1930. The now mature 18 hole layout was re-opened in 1980.
Best holes
11th 439yds. Long hole leading towards the racecourse stand. Main problem a drainage ditch which can catch a poor second.
15th 176yds. Almost certainly the best short hole in the Borders - tricky slopes, bunkers and out of bounds behind the green.
The clubhouse
Excellent clubhouse facilities, ladies and gents changing areas with showers. Tastefully designed lounge and recently refurbished dining room. Warm welcome guaranteed, bar open from 11.30am to 11pm everyday.
